The New Year is Here!

And I know God has a lot in store for us! Big goals are no problem to our Great God and He is with us to guide, equip, empower, encourage, challenge, and work through us for His kingdom!

I do hope your year end was full of joy in knowing that your name is written in the Lamb's book of life! And if you are reading this then I'd bet (if I was a betting person), that you care about others knowing there is going to be a day when the Lord God will judge the world in righteousness and there is a hope for all who will trust and obey the gospel! We have a great honor and responsibility to share the gospel, don't we?!!!

Because of that, I am working to revise some things to better serve the team, minister in the church and to reach out to the lost. The Great News Network has some exciting things planned too! So stand firm, pray to God, equip yourself, team up and get on the advance!

San Francisco, California- 3/1-3/4  

Are you ready to ROCK the West Coast with the Gospel of Christ? Then join us March 1-4 for a big time battle for souls in The Heart of “San Francisco” during the world’s best Chinese New Year Parade.  We are excited to see what God will do during the 3 days of hands-on, role up your sleeves battle in the streets of San Francisco. Our first stop will be the world famous Fisherman’s Wharf @ Pier 39. We will pass out tracts, witness 1-2-1, open air preach and much, much more!  We will also be holding out the word of life to people who have come from all around the world to explore and shop at the very popular Union Square.  Saturday evening is the largest Chinese New Year's celebration in the United States. No where on Earth will you see a bigger Lunar New Year's parade with more gorgeous floats, elaborate costumes, ferocious lions, exploding firecrackers and most importantly thousands of lost souls to reach for His Kingdom!

Come to EBC and put into practice the biblical principals you learned from Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron on the award-winning Way of the Master TV show. The first step to being a part of this life changing event is to submit an application. Once your application has been approved, you simply pay your fees (*$425.00 per person) and arrange for your own transportation to and from San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, GNN will accommodate, transport, train and feed you. EBC has proven to have a dramatic and lasting impact on everyone who has ever attended and it's a great place to surround yourself with other like minded believers who are serious about seeking and saving the lost...the way Jesus did. Encouragement . . .

It is so needed for all of us to determine to step up, go out and purposefully share our faith. With the holidays I went about my routine of passing out tracts and being friendly with others, but not much more. I had not taken the team out for about 4 weeks. Pam wanted to get some more practice at 1-2-1's so we headed out to the Joplin Flea Market. I didn't get a booth, but we wanted to see if any one was at the market so we could just pass out tracts and talk as the doors were opened.

When I parked my truck, I did not feel like going. Fear gripped me. I didn't tell Pam at this point about my fear and really not wanting to be there to witness. I wanted to go shopping! But we prayed I asked God to help my fears then we headed out. As we passed out tracts it was very cold, but a clear day. The baby bundled up in a coat and quilt ridding in the stroller seemed not to mind the cold.

Pam had begun a conversation with a man in his late 60's+, He was wearing an old military cap with a vest and had a white neatly trimmed beard. I went over to listen. His name is Hal Hobbs.

Hal said he has been a Christian for 45 years. He asked why we were there and who were we with. We explained some about GNN, TWOTM and gave him a "Hells Best Kept Secret" CD. Hal then shared with us about having gone through "a sack cloth and ashes experience" for about 2 years. With tears forming in his eyes he told us he said he had been praying to God about why people (Christians) are not doing something to reach out to the perishing and how blessed he was to have met us sharing the gospel with the lost. Hal told us about his grief over false teaching today that has forgotten to tell others about judgment and hell, and believing then taking up their cross to follow Jesus. Hal's words were so true and spoken with strong conviction and meekness.

Pam and I connected with Hal immediately and both of us got tears in our eyes. We were stirred as Hal by the grace of God kindled afresh in us a passion and grief about the condition of lost souls. This was a blessing of encouragement from God. I didn't feel like it, it was very cold, I was afraid, I had a lot on my plate of things to do. I was reminded that out of 30 days I had not been a verbal witness. One hour in 30 days is little compared to the eternal fate of those who have not heard the gospel.

Let it be a goal for us all to determine to set aside time each day, week or month to do a little more than before to reach out to the lost.

Training

Basic artillery – PRAYER!

Outreaches – For the upcoming evangelism outreaches listed above. Pray for laborers to be raised up for these events and for boldness to speak, for wisdom, discernment, power of the Holy Spirit and His word to open eyes and save many souls! Pray for protection from the enemy and guidance from God. For God to open opportunities in our everyday lives to witness!

Trainings - Pray for a location we can hold the Way of The Master 1 Day Evangelism Trainings regularly.

EBC - Pray for God's direction on holding a GNN EBC in the 4 State area.

Team members going to EBC - Pam and Josephus will be attending the Miami FL EBC this Jan 31 - Feb 4, 07. Pray for protection and for an obedient walk filled with the Spirit.
